Inception
(Pt 2 2018)
After Inception, Part 1, the gallery closed for the Christmas holidays to carry out some minor renovations before the next exhibition that would take place on the 9th January 2018 at the Volcano Theatre, Art Gallery in Swansea. The Christmas holidays gave the artists chosen for the exhibition time to reflect on their works and make decisions on whether or not the pieces they originally had were what they wanted to exhibit or if they felt they needed to add more works to the show.
The Volcano Theatre, located in the heart of Swansea, is in a building that used to house a Frozen Foods Retailer that has been repurposed as an art gallery and theatre for people to use. With it’s amazing size, we were able to accommodate more artworks than we had been able to do with the Swansea Grand Theatre.
The show opened on the 9th January 2018 and was a success, people loved the exhibition and continued to come and see it until it closed on 19th January.
